Check out my new Manosphere podcast, "The MGTOW Factor"

STOP!

Collaborate & listen,
Fester's back with a brand new invention!

A podcast!  A weekly current-events comedy podcast of about 25 minutes a piece.  I just uploaded episode 2, and this time I added the bellz and whistles for the first time and even though the quality of my mic is not great, I'm pretty proud of the production value already.

The concept is a show featuring news and commentary on the week's happenings in the Manosphere and the Reactosphere, hosted by me, in character, as "Pill O'Reilly," a miserly but sometimes bombastic talking head (much in the vein of the real life Fox News personality Bill O'Reilly).  I even use some modified jargon of his.  The format involves an introduction, followed by several shorter fully or partially scripted segments and a longer main segment, which is a broader general topic of discussion, most likely relevant because it's related to recent events, or is of particular interest to a guest I have on the show.  I hope to start booking guests to appear via Skype or Google+ within the next month or two.

These shorter scripted or partly-scripted segments on either side of the main segment include:

  • A reading of the news
  • Media in the Manosphere (and Reactosphere)
  • Pinheads and Patriarchs
  • Listener Feedback
  • MGTOW Memo
  • The WORD

So drop what you're doing and check it out!  It's still a work in progress but I think Episode 2 is a great showcase of what I can do and what to expect from a podcast by yours truly.  Even though it's called "The MGTOW Factor," please put any prejudices about the label MGTOW aside til you've given 'er a listen, as I most likely don't fit that picture.  With MGTOW, I am fascinated by it and the idea of going galt, and I think this particular identification has some decent unifying power behind it for many disenfranchised men, and that red pill is the first step in a further taking red pills and development of an ideology.  "MGTOW" is a rapidly trending keyword without any other podcasts with that word in the title specifically yet, andI am more of a sociologist studying, rather than one of the faithful practicing (actually, I'm really more of a COMMENTATOR opining to be precise).  However, I do have immense sympathy for these guys, because they were lied to by Feminism and society in general, and even if they are a bit neckbeardy, they don't deserve the treatment they've gotten; I don't find the idea of a 30 year old virgin to be ANY kind of a laughing matter.  These men are worth helping, and they are a fertile group who could be converted to further battles against The Cathedral.

Thank you,

The Most Inspirational Gamergate Speech EVARRRR!!!!!111!!1!103u1p9$*%@*#937!10=!1-!!

I will be doing a big post about Diana Davidson and the feud amongst the MGTOW community and also with the Men's Rights community.  Karen Straughan (GirlWritesWhat) and RazorBladeKandy2, JTO and Diana etc.  But in the meantime I wanted to do a quick post featuring a Gamergate video, because I did after all spend about 12 hours making it, which is a lot for about 2 minutes of footage.

I will be doing a post on my cyberculture / YouTube tutorial site, SpecialFester.wordpress.com that teaches a little about doing this type of video and comparing it to the original to show how much little details like pacing matter, and can turn a decent video into a viral / share worthy piece of content.  If you're interested in this stuff or are a blogger/YouTuber yourself I suggest checking it out.

Anyways, here it is.  It's titled "The Most Inspirational Gamergate Speech EVER!"  Please share it if you support Gamergate!

Enjoy!

BIRTHRATE BRIBERY? - TIME Magazine Infographic Illustrates an Effect of the Marriage Strike

More and more lately, I've been seeing examples of the mainstream media catching on to the marriage strike.  In this weeks issue of TIME magazine they had a blurb about Japan's falling birthrate and one of their "cutesy" little infographics detailing instances of different countries' governments trying to spur family creation and baby making.

As you see, they've tried everything from tax breaks to ::flamboyantly gay voice:: fabulous prizes and giveaways!!!

Not surprisingly, none of these mainstream media sources I've seen mention the "problems" with social trends relating to marriage, have pointed any blame on women or feminism, except for to remind us of how liberated and productive women have become because of the savior feminism, and possibly to offer suggestions of how this independence is scaring insecure wittle mensies off!

MAN UP GUYS!
So next time you hear some feminazi mocking MGTOW's with the tired insults about fedoras and basements and beard placement, and they laugh it off with quips like "GOOD, go your own way, like we care!", remember this article and point out:

Well apparently some people do.  Some people care CONSIDERABLY.  And when enough men join in finally decide to say "they've had it" that the tax base starts to shrink, that harpy will care too...

The MGTOW Factor

Hello all, if you're not familiar with me from some of my other blogs or channels, my name is Fester, and I'm writing this post to let you know that I'm taking things in a new direction.  I've been a follower of online culture since the days of AOL 2.0, back when I was on a 28K dialup modem and a Packard Bell PC.  Over the last few years, this fertile landscape of web 2.0 enabled platforms has yielded a crop of some of the most robust online-originating culture that the world has ever seen, and the majority of these pieces of culture have revolved around men and boys, and the issues and entities that affect them.  The Men's Movement is truly remarkable in the way it contains information and a philosophy that is diametrically opposed to everything on the topic that the mainstream sources of academia and old media have ever said or written regarding it.  Against all odds, and despite every best effort of the social juggernaut that is Political Feminism, the manosphere has absolutely exploded on the scene, and continues so spread like wildfire through our digital networks as well as our social ones.

(Example of the Type of  Relevant Content I'd Share.)

I Scour the Net and Check All the Best Sources on a Daily Basis Because this is What Interests Me

However this is a messy process, and there are several differing factions in this diaspora and they sometimes disagree in principal and as thus bitter clashes and regrettable actions sometimes come to pass.  One of the most controversial but fascinating factions of the Manosphere is definitely MGTOW.  I intend to throw my two cents in regarding MGTOW here on this blog, as well as with a new podcast I have in the works, tentatively called

THE MGTOW FACTOR

I plan on introducing the basics and then moving on to the more advanced topics as well as offering critique of the philosophy as I come to it.  I also plan on covering news and happenings relevant to the manosphere and MGTOW particularly, as well as keeping you abreast on the meta, that is the goings-on in the MGTOW community itself.  I will add my take on the conflicts and rivalries, and this will definitely be a good source for news if you'd like to keep up on the community, as I am quite familiar with all of it, and have a lot of experience myself with keeping up on things as a blogger in this fast paced world.  I will be bookmarking all the most relevant sites and am putting a feed together of all the MGTOW YouTuber's channels so I can let you know what the most noteworthy video and podcast contributions of the week are, since YouTube's old "subscription box" is all but defunked.

However, I do have a dog in this fight and I don't make any bones about it.  I care deeply about the sphere, the movement, and the people in it.  My covering of it will be tasteful, and any time I cover things that are a bit gossipy, I will do my best to be fair and to reach out to the individuals in question.

Anyways, I welcome you all to tune in, and also to give me any feedback regarding how you want this information delivered.  I also appreciate any tips on stories or news and will always keep you anonymous if you'd like, or plug you and credit you if you'd prefer the opposite.  I will be keeping notes through my daily life and working on about 2 quality posts a week, plus reactions to major things that may pop up between those.  I can be readily reached on Twitter @SpecialFester, and will do my best to respond as quickly as possible.

Thanks again,
   ~Fester
